sennheiser mkh 8020 review

I think this series of Sennheiser is a home run for size, flexibility, low self noise, and sound. I wonder if the results would be different with a string ensemble. If you’re interested in seeing just how well this boom microphone holds up, then read the rest of this Sennheiser MKE 600 review below. I am 100% sure the results would be the same. Sample 1 sounds better for me. The 8020 frequency response is nominally flat from 10–20kHz. In the treble, the MKH 40 sounded neutral, whereas the C-422 sounded a little dull; trumpets and cymbals sounded brighter with the Sennheiser. The omni-directional Sennheiser MKH 8020 is ideal for recording large and small sound sources, for a "Decca Tree" or for use in an OSS "Jecklin Disk" array. Think of it as a much shorter and vastly more versatile MKH 416, with a bigger and more forgiving sound. Sennheiser MKH 60 does indeed provide a better side rejection and higher directionality but this comes at a price of becoming bulkier: 280mm vs 250mm in length and 25mm vs 19mm in width, (despite the reduction in weight 150g vs 175g) is a significant drawback. Now to the (sub) cardioids. Like the MKH 416, the MKH 8060 has the ability to make the human voice come to the front of a mix, while still retaining a natural feeling. On-axis pickup extends to 70kHz. It is a good choice for recording soloists, where the requirements for lateral acoustic separation are higher. Thanks to its super-cardioid pick-up pattern the MKH 8050 offers an even higher attenuation of off-axis sound, than its sister model MKH 8040. I think I like 1 more than 2. The question is which sound you prefer for various ensembles. And some preferring #1 went to to say it could be made to sound as good as #2. Specifications Mål. Interested to know which one it is. The second one seems to be narrower, has less air and sounds closer. If the acoustic ambiance is right, this microphone will provide very impressive recordings.
